Dogs are man’s best friend. They can be found everywhere in the world whether sitting on their masters lap or simply strolling around streets. There are many breeds of dogs that fall under many

categories. Among the most popular breed are French bulldogs. They are small companion dogs that originated from France. Also known as Frenchie, frog dog, or clown, this petite canine breed is a favorite among many dog lovers. French bulldogs appearances are muscular breeds that look compact with their smooth coats. They also have a snub nose that goes well with a solid bone structure. They have bat ears that compliment their whole look and short uncropped, screwed or straight tails.

Most dog lovers love dogs according to their fur or coat. When it comes to French bulldogs, dog owners usually choose them according to color and coat patterns. Their color can be simply described as fawn with a variety of marking patterns. Fawn can vary in shades such as deep red to pale golden cream. French bulldogs appearances only differ according to their marking patterns. Most importantly, the colors of these dogs are only taken into account when they are to be used professionally. This means that a French bulldog that has the best colors and patterns are the most popular among their breed because they are the ones seen on shows and competitions.

The French bulldog is very similar to the large bulldog. Their only difference is that the Frenchie’s are small or petite and its face is not bowed in appearance. They stand at least twelve inches tall at the shoulder. Because of their size, the American Kennel Club categorized them in the “Toy Group”. French bulldogs are very loving pets because they are one person dogs. This dog can be very fun animals especially with children. They can sometimes appear childish, delightful, and clownish. They may be playful but their curiosity always gets them into trouble.

French bulldogs are ideal housedogs. When kept at home, they should not be leashed because they are at their best when allowed to play around with people at home. They love to be walked outside but can sometimes be aggressive around other dogs. Frenchies need obedience training and plenty of human attention. Owning a French bulldog means taking care of it the best way possible because they have to be attended properly due to certain associated health conditions. One such condition involves breathing problems because of their short noses. They can also have possible skin problems, eye injuries, and heat stroke.

When taking care of French bulldogs it is always best to ask the experts. Breeding Frenchies is quite a job. They are very fragile creatures since they need to be kept in places that are not too hot because they can easily get heat stroke. French Bulldogs are very sensitive to any intense temperatures either high or low. They favor cooler temperatures but not freezing. Additionally, Frenchies should be brought to their veterinarians regularly and get complete yearly shots.
